An elegant wooden writing desk stands near a large window draped with sheer white curtains, overlooking a faintly visible garden bathed in early evening light. On the desk, a linen-covered journal lies open beside a neatly arranged fountain pen and a closed, cloth-bound Bible with a satin ribbon marker. A small glass vase holds a single white flower, adding quiet beauty. Golden hour sunlight streams through the curtains, diffused and gentle, creating soft highlights on the journal’s textured pages and subtle shadows across the desk. Photographic realism, shot from a three-quarter angle with a balanced composition, conveying a peaceful, intimate setting for Scripture reflection, journaling prayers, and unhurried time with God.

About Intimacy Seekers

Discover the quiet journey that birthed Intimacy Seekers and its invitation into Jesus’ presence.

Welcome!

Intimacy Seekers was born from a personal desire to slow down, sit with God’s Word, and know Him beyond the surface. In a world filled with noise, responsibilities, and constant movement, I believe there is still an invitation from God to come closer—to be still, open His Word, listen, pray, and simply enjoy His presence.

Here, you’ll find Bible meditations, devotionals, Scripture reflections, and prayers designed to help you pause and spend intentional time with God. This isn’t about having all the answers or checking another box on your spiritual to-do list. It’s about creating room to meet with God personally and allowing His Word to shape our hearts and everyday lives.

I’m Nessa Esh, and I’m an intimacy seeker too. I’m learning, growing, praying, asking questions, and discovering more of God through His Word one day at a time. I created this space to share some of what I’m learning along the way and to invite others into that journey.

So bring your Bible, your journal, your questions, and your heart.

Come as you are. Slow down. Open the Word. Stay awhile.

A well-loved leather Bible, its soft brown cover slightly worn at the corners, lies open on a natural oak table, pages gently curved as if recently read. A single delicate sprig of lavender rests across the margin near Psalms, suggesting quiet meditation. Soft morning sunlight pours in from an unseen window to the left, casting warm, elongated shadows and a gentle glow along the gilded page edges. In the blurred background, a simple ceramic mug and an unlit candle sit on the table. Photographic realism, eye-level composition with shallow depth of field, creating a serene, sophisticated, and contemplative atmosphere that invites slow, prayerful reflection on Scripture.
A cozy reading nook is formed by a plush, light-gray armchair placed beside a slender, round wooden side table. On the table rests a slim, modern tablet displaying softly glowing Scripture text, next to a stack of well-used devotionals with linen and kraft paper covers. A small, minimalist ceramic lamp casts a warm, ambient pool of light, gently illuminating the scene while the rest of the room fades into soft darkness. A woven throw blanket is draped over the armchair, adding texture and comfort. Photographic realism, slightly elevated angle, with a calm, sophisticated atmosphere that suggests unhurried, meditative evenings in the Word and prayer.

My Journey Into Intimacy

I’m Nessa Esh, and my journey with God has been one of discovering that faith can be more than spiritual practices and routines, it can be an invitation to slow down, be present with Him, and truly know Him.

One of the greatest ways I have experienced this is through daily Bible reading and meditation. As I began spending intentional time in Scripture, not rushing through a passage, but slowing down, reflecting on the words, asking questions, praying through what I was reading, and allowing it to stay with me throughout my day. I found myself drawing closer to God. His Word became more than something I read; it became a place of connection with Him.

The more I spend time in His Word, the more I discover His heart, His character, His love, His ways, and what matters to Him. Some days His Word comforts me. Other days it challenges me, corrects me, encourages me, or gives me a new perspective. And sometimes, a familiar verse suddenly speaks to a season of my life in a way I had never noticed before.

Along the way, I began to desire something deeper: not just knowledge about God, but a personal relationship and genuine encounter with Him. I wanted to know His heart, recognize His presence in the ordinary moments of my life, and experience Scripture as more than words on a page, as a place where God meets me and continually draws me closer.

That desire is at the heart of Intimacy Seekers.

This is an invitation to slow down with me, to open the Bible, meditate on its words, ask questions, reflect, pray, and discover more of the God who invites us to know Him.

I’m still seeking, still learning, and still discovering. There is always more of Him to know.
